1. What is My Implant Passport?
My Implant Passport is a digital platform that provides a digital implant passport. This passport contains essential information about the dental implants placed, guaranteeing traceability and safety of care for patients.
2. Why is an implant passport necessary?
The implant passport is a legal requirement imposed by:
Regulation (EU) 2017/745 for medical devices, in force since 26 May 2021.
Decree No. 2015-1171 in France, which requires dental surgeons to provide this document to patients.
It ensures the traceability of implants and allows for a rapid response in the event of a recall or health problem related to the implant.
3. What information does the implant passport contain?
The passport includes:
The nature and technical characteristics of the implant (brand, batch number).
The manufacturer's contact details.
Instructions for the patient's medical follow-up.
4. How is my personal data protected?
My Implant Passport strictly complies with the GDPR. Your data is:
Stored on HDS (Health Data Hosting) certified servers in France.
Not for sale.
Accessible only with your explicit consent.
5. Can I manage my personal data?
Yes, as a patient or practitioner, you can:
View, correct or delete your data.
Request a copy of your data.
Close your account at any time.
6. Who has access to my implant passport?
The patient: Can access their information at any time via the platform.
The authorized practitioner: Only has access to the data of their own patients.
The laboratories: Have no access to personal data.
7. What happens in case of a medical emergency?
In case of urgent care, your digital passport allows any practitioner to know the references of your implant, thus improving your care.
8. What are the legal obligations of practitioners?
Dentists are required to provide an implant passport for each implanted medical device, in accordance with Article L.1111-2 of the French Public Health Code. My Implant Passport facilitates compliance with this requirement.
9. Is the platform free for patients?
My Implant Passport is completely free for patients and will remain so.
10. Is My Implant Passport compliant with regulations?
The platform complies with GDPR standards and is registered with the CNIL.
